i first heard this song when the video premiered on mtv and back in 1990 that was huge for an urban artist. i remember thinking "wow, she has really crossed over!" of course, things are much different now as the term crossover is seldom used. the third u.s. single from her debut album affection, this tune cemented her as a dance artist to be reckoned with. while the song narrowly missed the top 20, it did reach the top of the dance charts. the video also featured a more slicker and sexier lisa as she did away with her trademark curl. special thanks to jon for the mp3. this mix is slammin'!
