you could tell me in 1988 that these outfits were not off the hook! i remember thinking that they were the fashionistas of freestyle. wow - so many years ago. originally released in 1987, hooked on you only managed to reach #64 on billboard's hot 100. but after they scored a top 20 hit with sincerely yours, the single was re-released and in 1989 reached #23 on the hot 100. the song also had two videos, which is amazing considering that most freestyle artists weren't lucky enough to get one video period. hooked on you is one the best dance tunes of all time and still holds up in 2009. the outfits - not so much.

I can honestly say that this is my favorite song of all time, of any genre and has been since it came out. I used to keep the 12" single safe in a drawer underneath all my clothes. Sweet Sensation will always be my favorite Freestyle group without a doubt. Question... was there ever a single version with all of Mari's rap (like in the original video)? After all these years, I've never found one.
One of my favorite freestyle songs off all time...such a great fun record. These girls always tore up the stage. Love them forever.
SS was my all time favorite Freestyle Group. All of their songs on their albums were incredibly good. i had the hugest crush on Sheila Vega. And Hooked On You is my all time favorite song of theirs. Good times!
